Welcome to The Eighth Man

I am so proud to present to you the results of an idea thrown around by a group of friends over the summer that never seemed destined for anything more than our dreams. The idea of a quidditch strategy and analysis media site is by no means novel. In fact, I’m sure most of you reading this have thought about it at one point or another.

But I was lucky enough to be surrounded by a cast of people dedicated to bringing the idea to life, even after it seemed all but dead a month ago. There are so many people to thank, some that are still with us today for our launch, and some that are doing other things. But we wouldn’t be here without each and everyone one of you, so thank you. A special thanks to my managing editor, Sarah Woolsey, for always being willing to drop what she was doing at a moment’s notice to help me figure out a WordPress bug or edit another article.

You’ve heard enough of me speaking, but I now I encourage you to dive in and see what our site has to offer. We  don’t claim to be omniscient about the sport of quidditch. We’ve tried to assemble a knowledgeable, diverse and talented group of writers, but we want to hear from you as well. So send us an email, get in touch, give us criticism, pitch an article idea. Quidditch will be better off for it.
